Mushir Divan mansion
Mushir Divan mansion, with a history from the Qajar period, is located in the old neighborhood of Sanandaj. This mansion was built in the style of introverted Iranian architecture, especially the courtyard of a porch, during the Qajar period by “Mirza Yousef Moshir Divan”, the advisor and successor of the ruler of the region named “Mirza Reza, Minister of Kurdistan”. The building has seven courtyards, each of which has a separate fountain with a different design and at the same time related to other fountains, and includes private, public, ceremonial, service and sanitary sections. In the main part of the building, there is a columned porch, a hall, a courtyard and a waterfront, its doors and windows, which are a combination of porcelain knots of wood and colored glass, decorate its rooms. The prominent features of this building are the brick decorations, the gable roof, the ceremonial hall and the columned porch in front of it with the design of pergola, plastering and Mogharnas, and the ornaments with Islamic designs. Carving on stones and columns with rope and Mogharnas plaster decorations is one of the most prominent decorations of the mansion. The grounds of the mansion and the design and construction of all its parts at the same time, observing all the principles of Iranian architecture, has given a unique feature to the Mushir Divan mansion.
Following the specialized mission of UNIDO Senior International Consultant to Iran and a trip to Kermanshah and Kurdistan provinces in September 2017, the creation of creative centers was proposed and this mansion was considered as the creative hub of Kurdistan.
