The first festival of creative hubs in Iran
After launching creative hubs in Kermanshah and Kurdistan, more than 70 startups active in the field of handicrafts and brand owners in the field of local creative industries have been identified and efforts have been made to introduce the capacities of creative and local industries in the national and international arenas. Create a common vision among the stakeholders of creative and artistic industries and while identifying sustainable business capacities by relying on creative industries, take important steps to develop the creative economy and promote and institutionalize the culture of using creative industrial products in the lives of Iranians.
In order to achieve the goals and plans of creative hubs, the first international festival of creative hubs in Iran with the slogan “from idea to ideal” with the aim of recognizing the capacities of Iran’s creative industries to the people of Iran and the world, began in May 1400 And is being held. The target audience of this festival is all startups, entrepreneurs, SMEs and creative producers.

Leading the development path
The approach of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) is to create creative homes, empower local communities and strengthen the growth potential and capacity of these communities.
In Iran, with the aim of developing the concept of entrepreneurship among the owners of indigenous and creative handicrafts in Kermanshah and Kurdistan provinces and creating sustainable employment, there is extensive cooperation among the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare (MCLSW) and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism (MCHHT).
In Kermanshah and Kurdistan creative HUBs, more than 200 startups that are active in the field of handicrafts and brand owners in the field of local creative industries have been identified and various specialized courses have been held in accordance with their educational needs.
The registration of the Institute for the Development of Creative Industries in these two provinces under the auspices of the National Foundation for Tourism Development and Excellence with the approval of the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare and the compilation and approval of the mission statement and vision of Iranian creative hubs has paved the way for the development of creative HUBs in Iran.
In the field of traditional footwear, leather and wood, 10 workshops have been held with the aim of teaching creative ways to produce the product using new technology. Registration of creative products brand in 10 creative and indigenous creative categories in the subset of creative hubs, is another upcoming program that will be possible with the constructive interaction of the public sector and related development institutions.
