Haj Shahbaz Khan Bath
Haj Shahbaz Khan Bath was built in 1283 AD in the old and historical context of Kermanshah. Haj Shahbaz Khan Kalhor, son of Manouchehr Khan Bigler Beigi, was one of the political and social figures of the Qajar period during the reign of Mohammad Ali Mirza Dolatshah in Kermanshah, who built valuable historical monuments in this city, including Haj Shahbaz Khan Mosque and Haj Shahbaz Khan Bath.
This historical bath, like many baths of the Qajar period, includes a bath or cloakroom, a greenhouse and hot and cold water reservoirs, and has used all the architectural elements of traditional baths. The surfaces inside the domes of this bath are beautifully masonry using lime cutting. Sarbineh is also decorated with murals. Murals are another spectacular decoration of this bathroom. The arches of the bathroom space are of the type of arches five and seven and the method of covering the ceiling in the form of a dome is of the dome type of Cheshmeh arch.
Shahbaz Khan Bath of Kermanshah has been registered in the list of national monuments of Iran on December 3, 2007 with the number 20495.
Following expert missions to the Kermanshah and Kurdistan provinces by a senior UNIDO international consultant, the creation of Creative Crafts HUBs, encompassing culture and handicrafts aspects, and suitable for upgrading the crafts value chain, improving products quality, development of handicrafts and creative industries market, increasing employment for youth, women and the disabled, was proposed for Kermanshah and Kurdistan.
After that, the necessary feasibility studies were carried out for the application of these two buildings and the restoration of Haj Shahbazkhan historical bath was carried out by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts (MCHHT).
